• Buy complete setups instead of piecing gear together.

• Look for deals or last-season gear—it still rips.

• Take care of your kit. Keep your bearings clean, avoid water damage, and rotate your wheels to make them last longer.

• Shop small and local. Not only are you supporting the scene, but you'll often find better advice and value.
